About Manitoba Pug Rescue...

Manitoba Pug Rescue (MPR) is a non-profit organization founded in 2007 and is run by volunteers. We are dedicated to the rescue, care and placement of all surrendered, abandoned, and abused pugs. We provide our rescues with veternary care, fostering, food, and find them a safe, loving forever home.

Our rescue does not have a facility where a potential family can drop by, pick out a pug and take him home that day. Rescued pugs live in foster homes, where they are evaluated and cared for until we find the right adoptive family for them. Manitoba Pug Rescue services pugs and pug x's in need within the whole Province of Manitoba.

   Breaking News...

MB Pug Rescue is pleased to announce the safe arrival of  4 sweet little pugs from South Dakota.  They arrived late last night and have found love, shelter and yummy food at their foster homes.  These puggies are all from the same puppymill and were used for breeding.  They have been heartworm tested and up dated on all shots.  They will be spayed and neutered in the next week.

Is your pug or pug mix going nuts being kept indoors due to the cold weather?  Why not bring them out to our Pug Play Date where they will have lots of fun and burn off some of that pent up energy.

NOTE:  Pawsh Dog also does grooming!!  While we are at our play date why not get your pug's nails trimmed for $5.00.  Yep, you read that right...$5.00!!  What a deal, not only is the price right, but it saves you the hassel of trimming your pug's nails:)

Help us save lives, one pug at a time...

Manitoba Pug Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer based rescue. We often receive pugs in poor condition both physically and medically.  Vetting per pug can cost upwards of $500.00 or more depending on their health. 100% of donations are used to pay veterinary bills, food and supplies
for our rescued pugs and small dogs.  As well, donations go towards transporting dogs from shelters and puppy mills to our rescue. Our goal this year is to raise $1000 to help us continue with our rescuing endeavors.  Donations can now be made by credit card with PayPal.

No donation is too small.  Please consider collecting Pennies for Pugs.  Each penny received will bring us closer to our goal. Rather than throwing those pennies on the dresser to collect dust, how about putting them in an envelope or jar to help out MB Pug Rescue?  Pennies or change can be donated at our play groups or by contacting manitobapugrescue@gmail.com

Thanks for helping us make this a reality!

A big Thank You goes out to Marissa, Katherine, Mark & Vincent of Elmwood High School from the Grade 7/8 Flex Program.  They facilitated a  presentation on MB Pug Rescue as well as donated $50.00 that they raised from hosting a bake sale in support of MB Pug Rescue.

Since January we have raised $330.00 of our goal of $1,000.00 to be raised by May 31, 2010.  Thank you to everyone who collects change and pop cans as well donates to our rescue!!
