MB Pug Rescue has turned 3 years old!!
Thank you to all of our supporters! Your help at events, donations and fostering has helped 300 rescued pugs and small dogs receive needed vet care and helped them find wonderful new Forever Homes!!
Seeing dogs come in with severe medical conditions due to neglect can be very depressing!! We need to take time out to celebrate the rescue of 300 pugs and small dogs. Each of these animals have made their new owners very happy and loved.
If you have adopted one of our rescues, please email us an updated picture and an update on your fur baby to manitobapugrescue@gmail.com

We received two new pugs in our rescue. We rescued Meadow from Missouri as she was a mill dump. My friend picked her up for me and a few days later called and said that she was losing weight and fast! She said that if she didn't get her to the animal hospital she would die as she was on death's door. The vet examined her and she was infested with hook worms and totally dehydrated. She spent 5 days at the animal hospital and was treated for the worms and rehydrated. She now has a wonderful appetite and is slowly putting her weight back on. She has a mouth of rotten teeth and is about 10 years old and JUST retired from breeding.
Nothing could prepare my heart for the condition she was in when I got her on Sunday. She is like a walking carcass. Every time I hold her, I cry as I feel every bone in her body. She is the most sweetest little pug ever! I am trying to fatten her up and love on her every chance I get.
I am so glad we got her when we did as she would have died after years of being a puppy mill dog. She deserves to be a spoiled princess!
People ask me all the time why I rescue dogs and this is my answer...

Both of these girls will require some extensive vetting as they are both in bad shape. If you are able to donate towards their vetting, we would appreciate the help!
If you would like to send a donation in way of a cheque, please contact manitobapugrescue@gmail.com for a mailing address. Thanks!
We need Foster Homes!! If you are able to open your heart & home to a homeless pug, please let us know. We provide a kennel, food, toys and vetting. Foster Homes provide love and shelter as well as some basic training.

We are all excited that Spring has finally arrived with some warmer weather!! While we celebrate this beautiful season, many backyard breeders and puppymills are disposing their breeding dogs. We work with Animal Shelters, Vet Clinics and other Rescues in MB and in the USA by taking in neglected breeding dogs. We arrange transport, find them shelter in a loving and safe foster home, feed them quality food, have them spayed/neutered and up dated on their shots. For most dogs this is their first trip to the vet and after years of neglect they have medical issues that are very extensive. Some come to us with mouths filled with decaying and infected teeth. And some dogs have come to us with heartworm or stomach parasites. Each month we fundraise to help end the suffering that our rescue dogs have endured due to years of neglect. We want to be able to continue being able to rescue and help bring healing to sick dogs so that they can be the companion animals that they were meant to be.
